How long has your firm been Chartered?

Since 2019

Why is Chartered status important to your business?

Chartered status is crucial to our business because it represents the highest standard of professionalism and excellence in our industry. It assures our clients that we adhere to rigorous ethical standards and continuously strive for quality in our services.

This status not only enhances our credibility and trustworthiness but also motivates our team to maintain and exceed these standards. Ultimately, it reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional value and fostering long-term client relationships.

What initiative has the organisation been involved in which has had a social impact/corporate social responsibility focus on?

The Advanta Foundation is a cornerstone of our corporate social responsibility efforts, dedicated to making a positive social impact both locally and globally. Established in 2005, the foundation focuses on raising money and awareness for children's charities in the UK and abroad.

One of our key initiatives includes organising fundraising events and physical challenges, such as climbing Kilimanjaro and participating in the Kiltwalk. These events not only raise significant funds but also engage our team and community in meaningful activities. Over the years, we've supported numerous charities, including the Children's Hospice Association for Scotland, The Jeely Piece Club, and the Tunahaki Foundation in Tanzania. Our commitment is to ensure that every penny raised goes directly to helping children in need.

The Advanta Foundation embodies our belief in creating futures and making a tangible difference in the lives of children worldwide. We are proud of the work we've done and remain committed to expanding our efforts to help end poverty and save lives.

In addition to the Advanta Foundation, we support various social impact and corporate social responsibility initiatives, including environmental sustainability, employee volunteering, financial education, diversity and inclusion, and health and wellbeing.

We engage employees through active participation in fundraising events and physical challenges, fostering community and personal growth. These efforts not only raise funds for children's charities but also promote team bonding and ensure employees see the direct impact of their contributions, enhancing their commitment and motivation.

How do you ensure your employees remain at the forefront of their profession?

At Advanta, we ensure our employees lead the way in their profession through a comprehensive approach to professional development. Each team member has a personalised career development plan, aligning their growth with both individual aspirations and organisational goals. We provide continuous training opportunities and mentorship programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Our support for professional qualifications ensures employees stay updated with industry standards and advancements. The in-house Advanta Academy offers specialised training programs and workshops designed to keep our employees at the cutting edge of industry developments.

We encourage participation in industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, we empower our employees to excel and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

How have you implemented the CII Code of Ethics into your business?

As CEO, integrating the CII Code of Ethics into our business is a personal commitment to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. I've worked closely with our team to foster an ethical culture where doing the right thing is second nature. We conduct regular training sessions to ensure everyone understands and adheres to these ethical standards.

Compliance with regulations is a priority, and our dedicated compliance team ensures we stay updated with any changes. Personally, I believe in putting our clients' interests first, ensuring transparency and high standards of service in all our dealings.
