Honorary Fellowships and the President’s Award

Honorary Fellowships and the President’s Award are special awards that recognise outstanding contributions to the work of The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and The Personal Finance Society (PFS) and to the insurance and/or personal finance professions.

Honorary Fellowships

Honorary Fellowships are awarded to people who have made an outstanding contribution to the insurance and/or personal finance professions but who are not directly engaged in either of them. Recipients of this lifetime honour are referred to as Honorary Fellows and are allowed to use the suffix Hon FCII.

CII and PFS members and employees are invited to nominate individuals for this award using the Honorary Fellows nomination form. The CII’s Nomination & Remuneration Committee considers any nominations received on an annual basis and determines whether to recommend a candidate to the CII’s Board for this honour.

An award will only be made to a deserving candidate who can also demonstrate high standards of professional and personal conduct.
