Recent years have cemented environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters as integral to the success of companies, organisations, businesses, and indeed individuals across industries. The insurance sector is no different, and while environmental issues have long since permeated the working lives of brokers, many working in the sector are still in the earlier stages of navigating social and governance implications.
In Spring of 2023, the CII Broking Community held a roundtable on ESG in the broking sector. Discussion covered areas such as how ESG can be beneficial to brokers, the risk of ignoring ESG, and how ESG is impacting brokers’ clients.
