Getachew Beshahwred, BA (Dist.), MBA, BFP, FCA, Cert CII, PMP, MCSI
Mr. Getachew Beshahwred is a highly accomplished professional with over 35 years of experience in financial services, insurance, and education. He holds a BA in Accounting with Distinction from Addis Ababa University, where he was awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for Outstanding Student of the Year, and an MBA from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), holds the Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MCSI).
Getachew returned to Ethiopia to establish Bruh Finance, a training and consultancy firm with the goal of connecting Addis Ababa to the rest of the world through high-quality professional development. By founding Bruh Finance, he aimed to bridge the skills gap in insurance, banking, and capital markets, ensuring that Ethiopian professionals meet global standards.
In his role as a CII Goodwill Ambassador, he will champion professional development within Ethiopia’s insurance industry, promoting the value of CII qualifications and fostering stronger connections with the global insurance community.
