Derek, who holds a CII Diploma, brings with him a wealth of experience in insurance and risk management, shaped by formative years in the London Insurance Market. He currently serves as Principal Officer and Executive Director of entities within CGA Insurance Group, where his people-centric leadership is focused on delivering innovative insurance solutions.
Holding an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management, Derek is also a Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM). His long-standing affiliation with the CII goes far beyond professional qualifications—he served as an Ambassador on the Representative Committee of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) and co-authored "Insurtech – Digital Disruption and Innovation in Insurance", published by the IIL. These contributions reflect his deep commitment to thought leadership and the advancement of professional standards within the industry.
