Eligibility criteria
Affiliated Institutes Programme
To be eligible to apply for Affiliated Institute status, your organisation must meet certain criteria, outlined below:
- Purpose: The organisation has a vision or mission which aligns with that of the CII
- Legal status: The organisation is a not-for-profit organisation
- Core activities: The organisation is an awarding body and/or is a professional membership body and/or provides educational services
- Sector focus: The organisation is active in general insurance, life and protection insurance or financial advice
- Collaboration: The organisation is willing to work with the CII and other affiliated institutes to support the profession
- Scale: The organisation provides a sufficient programme of activity relative to the size of its market
- Reputation: Nothing about the organisation or its officers would create a reputational risk to the CII
