Becoming a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute represents the highest level of professional achievement within the Insurance industry. Fellowship demonstrates expertise, commitment, credibility and distinguishes you as a leader in your field. It provides you with networking opportunities, globally recognised membership designations and the recognition and respect from other industry professionals.
The Fellowship Programme consists of 6 steps and takes most practitioners 3-5 years to complete.

Step 2 – Business Ethics Programme (BEP)
Step 3 – A Major Achievement
Step 4 – Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records
Step 5 – A Statement of Personal Development
Step 6 – Election application to the Fellowship Assessment Board

The Rutter Medal is awarded annually to the best new Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. It is awarded to the candidate that has achieved the highest mark in that year for their major achievement.
The silver gilt medal is awarded with a cash prize of £1,000 and a complimentary invitation to attend the CII conference.
