October 2025 – Introduction Day: London City Centre
This session also provides a full day of workshops on topics of relevance to future leaders, as well as your first opportunity to meet your group.
November 2025 – Project Kick-Off Calls: Virtual Events, Microsoft Teams
Each group will have one virtual meeting designed to give groups an opportunity to plan the rest of their project with their mentors and CII/PFS staff.
November – January 2026 - Introductions to senior stakeholders relevant to insurance and financial services professions, Virtual Event, Microsoft Teams
This will be used to present ideas and will help them to then focus on what they will go ahead with for the rest of the programme.
January 2026 – Meet the Regulator: CII/PFS Office, London
This session gives groups an insight into regulatory key focuses within broking, claims, London Market and underwriting, as well as an opportunity to ask questions. The day will be split in 2 sessions, one for insurance and one for financial services.
Wednesday 4 February 2026 – Parliamentary Visit & Panel Discussion: Houses of Parliament, London
Delegates at this event will hear from an MP, along with key lobbying organisations in the insurance and finance sectors on the relationship between the sectors and Westminster.
May 2026 – Media Interaction Half Day: CII/PFS Office, London
During this half-day session with a specialist media trainer, group members will find out more about what journalists are looking for, and how to give the right impression in media interviews.
July 2026 - Project Meetings, CII/PFS Office, London
An additional project meeting to discuss your project with CII/PFS staff and mentors at a later stage in the programme.
September 2026 – End of Programme Event: London City Centre
The programme will culminate in a presentation of each group's project and a celebratory networking reception at a nearby venue.
Groups will be encouraged to organise calls regularly to discuss their project work, as well as conducting independent work on the project.
Further optional events aligned with the programme are offered, such as:

Attendance to other community boards, panels, council meetings. Mentors assigned to each group are always available. Community boards, panels, councils may request additional slots to their represented groups on further occasions, throughout the New Gen programme year.

All-Party Parliamentary Group session ‘New Generation Programme projects’. This is an in-person event held in Parliament and gives the New Gens an opportunity to present their projects to an audience of parliamentarians and industry experts with discussion.
Dates vary, but have previously taken place in March, June or July.

Networking receptions and invitation only events there are opportunities to attend CII group networking receptions throughout the year.
