Coronavirus updates

Following the UK Government’s announcement of new national restrictions for United Kingdom, from Tuesday 5th January 2021, our exam centres, which provide an essential service throughout the UK, will remain open.  

Safety precautions are in place at exam centres and these will be strictly enforced.  

If you are booked to sit an exam at a centre and want to change this to a remotely invigilated exam or move the date of an MCQ exam, please log-in to MyCII Dashboard to amend your booking.

We have been working hard to ensure that candidates can continue to sit exams safely and securely in these uncertain times. Candidates are now able to sit our multiple-choice question (MCQ) exams, via ‘Remote Invigilation’ or at an exam centre, providing greater flexibility, particularly to our international candidates.

The CII takes seriously our role in supporting you, your business and the members of the public you serve and recognise these are unprecedented times for every profession.

We would like to thank our learners, candidates, members and other stakeholders for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. The CII has invoked its business continuity plans and we are now all working remotely but very much still operating to ensure we continue to provide a service to all our learners and members.

Due to cancellations and postponements of exams and events, enquiries into our Customer Service team have increased. Our team are working very hard to answer your queries; however, it might take slightly longer to respond than under normal circumstances.

The CII, our local institutes and societies have produced virtual content to support CPD requirements during this period. We will continue to issue guidance to you in your vital role helping members of the public.
