The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has announced the appointment of three new Group Board members, each with a responsibility to provide a membership perspective in discussions and decision making. Known as Engagement Board Members, the three are Ben Rose, Engagement Board Member: London Markets; Roger Jackson, Engagement Board Member: Financial Planning; and Suzy Middleton, Engagement Board Member: Personal Finance.

Gill White, Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Director of Member Engagement and Learning, recently appeared on Sandra Lewin’s 100 Women in Insurance podcast, where conversation covered AI and altruism in insurance, challenges around talent attraction, and the key moments that shaped Gill’s career.

As part of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Personal Finance Society (PFS) Consumer Duty initiatives, the first vulnerability virtual reality (VR) session was hosted in late June. This innovative learning was facilitated by Technical Connection powered by St. James’s Place (SJP) Learning and Development. The face-to-face session is part of a series available to the whole profession, giving access to the immersive learning which is designed to help build empathy for advisers and others across the profession that would benefit from the insights.

In late May, the Board welcomed Matthew Hill to his first meeting as Group CEO and heard about his ambitions for the Institute moving forward.
