Society of Mortgage Professionals reveals goals for relaunch

The Society of Mortgage Professionals has relaunched with the aim of raising professional standards and equipping mortgage brokers with what they need to deliver the best outcome for consumers.
The society has a new board and a revamped website containing good practice guides on Second Charge Mortgages, Bridging, Protection and the Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
Later this year a guide to Later Life Mortgages and Technology will be produced.
The new board is chaired by David Thomas, joint managing partner of Chadney Bulgin, and consists of Liz Syms, CEO of Connect For Intermediaries, Bob Hunt, CEO of Paradigm Mortgage Services, Dean Mirfin, technical director of KR Group, Marie Grundy, sales director of West One Loans, Esther Dijkstra, director of strategic partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group, Carlos Thibaut, CEO of 360 Dot Net, plus Lee Travis, partnerships and member engagement director of the Society of Mortgage Professionals.
Webinars and podcasts will also be produced by the society plus several educational events will be held across the country in spring 2020.
