Society of Mortgage Professionals appoints national account manager

The Society of Mortgage Professionals (SMP) has hired Laura Gauden as National Account Manager following the recent launch of Associate Firm, which allows businesses across the sector demonstrate their alignment to guidelines of professionalism and ethics as upheld by the SMP’s parent organization, the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Laura will work with the mortgage profession to support them in their efforts to raise standards and professionalism, such as a commitment to the best possible customer outcomes and improving public trust in the sector.
She has 15 years of experience in the mortgage and protection profession, having previously worked at Virgin Money, CHL and for the last three years at Paymentshield.
David Thomas, Chair of The Society of Mortgage Professionals, said: “We are delighted to welcome Laura to the team, she brings a wealth of experience and an excellent understanding of the mortgage market. She will be a great addition to our expanding team.”
