Aviva is the latest insurer to commit to Insuring Women’s Futures pledges and take action to improve female financial resilience.

The insurance giant signed up to both pledges launched as part of the Insuring Women’s Futures manifesto.

The ‘Financial Flexible Working’ pledge commits firms to help their colleagues to understand and manage the long-term financial implications of flexible working.

The ‘Inclusive Customer Financial Lives’ pledge encourages businesses to adopt an inclusive ‘whole customer’ approach and encourage consumers to consider the impact their decisions have on their finances.

Lindsey Rix, CEO of UK Savings and Retirement at Aviva, said: “It is crucial both for society and for our business that our products and solutions are inclusive of all customers and also adaptable to all life circumstances.”

Danny Harmer, Chief People Officer of Aviva, said: “Aviva is a long standing and committed supporter of flexible working and we are delighted to sign-up to the Financial Flexible Working Pledge.”

Sian Fisher, CEO of the Chartered Insurance Institute and co-founder of Insuring Women’s Futures, said: “I am pleased to see the number of companies signing up to the Insuring Women’s Futures pledges continuing to grow.

“It is important that we work to ensure that at every point where our employees make a change to their working arrangements, they are prompted to consider the immediate and longer-term financial implications of this change.

“I encourage any insurance or personal finance employers to consider how joining this growing group of companies that have committed to the Insuring Women’s Futures pledges will add value to their business and support their colleagues and customers.”
