Who is eligible?
If you hold a CII Advanced Diploma then it's likely you already satisfy the requirements to become Chartered.
Our Royal Charter allow us to award Chartered Status to those meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Hold the Advanced Diploma in Insurance
- Be a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute
- Have at least 5 years' sector experience

To check, simply log in to My CII, go to Member Status under the Membership section and click the Edit button. Here you'll be able to see your upgrade options along with your current membership details.
*Free upgrades are available to members who are mid-way through their current membership period. Chartered fees will apply at your next renewal.
