By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Explain how social inflation and recent developments in case and statute law are impacting professionals’ liabilities 

• Compare and contrast the coverage provided to different professional including:

  • Design and Build 
  • Information technology 
  • Marketing and media 
  • Insurance brokers 
  • Financial institutions 
  • Solicitors/lawyers 
  • Surveyors and valuers

• Identify recent changes in professional indemnity coverage 

• Outline how recent professional indemnity policy disputes may impact customer’s coverage 

• Explain how liability Professional indemnity coverages dovetails with other liability coverage including Public/Products Liability Management liability and Cyber liability 

• Explain how organisations should set the Professional indemnity limits 

• Describe how professional indemnity underwriters set their premiums and the different underwriting considerations for the different professionals 

• Outline the current situation in the Professional indemnity market 

• Identify how liability claims are handled

Method of Delivery

This workshop will be delivered online with a trainer via Microsoft Teams, over two half day sessions, on new dates coming soon. Delegates must ensure they have access to Teams to join the session.
