2. Understand the fundamental principles of insurance
3. Understand the main classes of insurance written in the London Market
4. Understand the insurance cycle
5. Understand reinsurance within the insurance market
6. Understand the structure of the London Market
7. Understand the London Market regulatory and legal environment
8. Understand the importance of appropriate systems and controls
9. Understand data protection and money laundering legislation and requirement
10. Understand the broker’s role in the way that business is conducted in the London Market
11. Understand the underwriter’s role in the way that business is conducted in the London Market

 

Workshop objectives

By attending this course, delegates will cover:

• How to study for CII examinations successfully
• Overview of LM1 syllabus - key elements (see learning outcomes below)
• Practice LM1 multiple choice questions

Within the session, there will be advice provided on exam preparation and technique, and opportunities to practice examples of multiple choice questions.

This is an intense revision course, ideal for students who are nearing the end of their studies and preparing for their examination.

 

Workshop format

This revision course is delivered online via MS Teams, over two-half days, on the 10 & 11 December 2024, 13:30-16:30 (UK).

Your trainer is highly experienced and qualified in the subject matter, and as importantly, in how to deliver an effective and productive online training session, ensuring all candidates are fully engaged to maximise the learning experience.

Your course will be interactive, with the use of screen share, virtual whiteboards, exercises and breakout opportunities to embed the knowledge learnt. Within the session, there will be advice provided on exam preparation and technique, and opportunities to practice examples of multiple choice questions. 

You will also receive a recording of the entire workshop post course, along with all supporting documents used.
