Workshop Overview

This intensive 1-day course introduces the core principles, language, and tools of project management in a way that is accessible, practical, and directly relevant to the day-to-day work of insurance professionals. It focuses on demystifying project management, giving participants the confidence and capability to plan and run small to medium-sized projects, support larger programmes, and contribute more effectively in cross-functional teams.

Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the project lifecycle, key planning tools, risk and stakeholder concepts, and practical tips they can immediately apply back at work

• Define what a project is and why project thinking is essential in insurance organisations

• Clearly articulate project objectives and define scope to avoid misunderstandings

• Use practical tools such as Work Breakdown Structures and basic project schedules
• Recognise the importance of risk management and know how to log and respond to project risks
• Understand how to track progress and ensure a smooth, structured project closure
