The Diploma in Insurance Training Programme is designed to help you feel more prepared for your CII Diploma in Insurance exams and coursework.

The content of the Programme will cover the key areas of the syllabus and areas likely to be tested. There will also be a focus on sample questions with clear debriefs to aid understanding.

Underwriting and Claims pathway will cover the below units:

Total credits: 90 credits

Commercial and Liability pathway will cover the below units:

Total credits: 100 credits

Please note: the cost of this Programme is for training and support only.

Exam entry / unit enrolment costs are in addition to booking on to this Training Programme.

Diploma completion requirements: Candidates must study unit M05, along with either M92 or 530. The Diploma requires a minimum of 120 CII credits for successful completion, with at least 90 credits at Diploma level or above. Depending on which pathway selected, you will accrue a minimum of 90 credits at Diploma level or above requirement. A further 20-30 credits must be acquired in addition to the above Diploma Units (depending on your chosen pathway) for the full qualification completion. These remaining credits can come from any units within the insurance framework.

Candidates must pass all relevant exams, coursework and receive the minimum credits required for the qualification.

Programme Objectives

The aim of this Training Programme is to provide support and to aid understanding of the subject matter for the associated units.

We suggest that the Certificate in Insurance is completed prior to taking the Diploma course to ensure a fundamental understanding of introductory insurance principles and topics and to gain the additional credits required to obtain the full Diploma in Insurance Qualification.

By participating in this Diploma in Insurance Qualifications Training Programme, Delegates will be able to:

  • describe the main principles within the framework;
  • identify the right techniques to use in the CII examinations; and
  • apply the knowledge gained

Diploma training is more involved to reflect the more advanced level of the qualification and the nature of assessment with coursework as well as multiple choice exams.

The sessions will cover the main areas of the syllabus, but also will provide an interactive opportunity to ask your Trainer questions.

Who should attend?

The Diploma in Insurance Training Programme is open to anyone looking to achieve their Diploma in Insurance Qualification.

The aim of this Training Programme is to provide structured Training for students to progress towards qualification, with facilitated online training sessions.

Each Cohort will consist of no more than 25 Delegates. This will allow for engaging sessions, with good levels of interaction and participation between the Trainer and the Delegates.

It is advised that students enrol on to the ‘current’ unit that they will be studying, shortly before the start of the Training for that particular Unit. This is to prevent any issues with missing deadlines for coursework submission, which is usually within 6 months from the unit enrolment.

Participants or their employer are expected to pay for associated exams / Enrolment Plus at a separate cost to this Training Programme. Each unit enrolment must be purchased before the start of each unit Training.
