TRAINING PROGRAMME
The aim of this online Training Programme is to support students through their qualification journey to achieving the Certificate in Insurance.
The Certificate in Insurance is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the profession, developing core knowledge.
The Training Programme is designed to help you feel more prepared for your CII Certificate in Insurance exams.
The content of the Training Programme will cover the key areas of the syllabus and areas likely to be tested and will also provide an interactive opportunity to ask your Trainer questions.
There will also be a focus on sample questions with clear debriefs to aid understanding.
The Broking Training Programme will cover the below units:
- IF1 - Insurance, Legal & Regulatory
- IF2 - General Insurance Business
- I10 - Insurance Broking Fundamentals
The Insurance Claims and Underwriting Training Programme will cover the below units:
- IF1 - Insurance, Legal & Regulatory
- IF3 - Insurance Underwriting Process
- IF4 - Insurance Claims Handling Process
Please note: the cost of this Programme is for training and tutor support only.
Exam entry / unit enrolment costs are in addition to booking on to this Training Programme.
What will I get by attending the Training Programme?
Students will be supported by a blend of live and digital training during the Programme, accessible via the RevisionMate Platform:

Programme Objectives
The aim of this Training Programme is to provide support and to aid understanding of the subject matter for the associated units within the qualification pathway.
By participating in this Certificate in Insurance Qualifications Training Programme, Delegates will be able to:
- describe the main principles within the framework;
- identify the right techniques to use in the CII examinations; and
- apply the knowledge gained
The training sessions are designed to help develop exam technique and knowledge in order to pass the exams, in order to achieve the Certificate in Insurance qualification.
Who should attend?
The Certificate in Insurance Training Programme is open to anyone looking to achieve their Certificate in Insurance Qualification (Level 3).
The aim of this Training Programme is to provide structured Training for students to progress towards qualification, with facilitated online training sessions and support.
Each Cohort will consist of no more than 25 Delegates. This will allow for engaging sessions, with good levels of interaction and participation between the Trainer and the Delegates.
Method of delivery
The duration of the Training Programme will span over a period of 6 months.
The Training workshops will be delivered online, via MS Teams or Zoom, over half-day sessions.
The Certificate in Insurance Training Programme will offer two pathways to choose from - Insurance Claims and Underwriting or Broking, depending on your chosen career pathway.

The Programme will begin with a 30 minute online introductory 'Kick-off session' at 09:00 (UK) on Friday, 22nd May 2026.
Subsequent Training sessions will be held between 09:00-12:30 (UK) on the below dates:

Gap for Students to sit IF4 exam
Delegates must ensure they can access the workshop online via both platforms (MS Teams or Zoom).
The links to each training workshop will be sent to delegates ahead of each session via email, and will also be accessible through the RevisionMate platform.
Your course will be interactive, with the use of screen share, virtual whiteboards, polls/quizzes and breakout rooms for smaller group discussions. You will also receive a recording of the entire workshop post course, along with all supporting documents used.
Each unit will require self-directed study each week. The facilitated Training sessions are in addition to the student’s investment of their own study time.
*This Training Programme does NOT include the cost of the associated exam enrolment, exam sitting or other support materials*
Students must ensure that they enrol on to the individual units and book the relevant exams for each unit with the CII during the period in between each unit transition (gap), within the Training Programme.
Participants or their employer are expected to pay for associated exams / Enrolment Plus at a separate cost to this Training Programme.
Who are the Trainers
The Training will be delivered by a Certified Learning Facilitator.
Your trainer is highly experienced and qualified in the subject matter, and as importantly, in how to deliver an effective and productive online training session, ensuring all candidates are fully engaged to maximise the learning experience.
Certificate
At the end of this Programme, you will receive a certificate of attendance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. In order to achieve your Certificate of Insurance qualification, you must sit and pass each of the exam units within the qualification framework. You are responsible for booking your own exams, separate to this Training Programme.

* Your Local Institute maybe able offer funding towards the cost of your place on this Programme. You can register your interest to find out if you are eligible to receive a subsidy from your Local Institute, towards the cost of your Training.
