Education and Training Trust

The Education and Training Trust of the Chartered Insurance Institute launched a fund to provide access to training and professional development for those working or studying in the UK and Ireland.

Applicants can apply for funding towards a CII or Personal Finance Society qualification. The scheme is available to those currently or previously employed in the insurance and financial planning sector, as well as students or graduates who are looking to embark on a career within the profession.

The scheme will be administered by The Chartered insurance Institute.

Who can apply?

This fund will solely be available to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • UK and Irish residents who work or previously worked in the insurance and financial planning sector and are unemployed, have been furloughed, made redundant, suffered business collapse, or are facing financial difficulty; or
  • UK and Irish students and graduates looking to embark on a career in the insurance and financial planning sector; and
  • Unable to finance the studies from their income, and have savings which total no more than £8,000 (both joint and several).

What do I need to provide?

You will need to provide evidence of your insurance or financial services employment/previous employment where applicable, full details of the qualification you are looking to apply for, and evidence of financial need.
