Discounts for learners financially impacted by COVID-19
We recognise that many members and learners may be facing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19. During this time, the CII wants to help those affected to continue to invest in their professional development.
To enable learners to continue with their studies, we are offering those individuals who are furloughed, or whose income has materially reduced, and whose learning and assessment costs are not funded or subsidised by their employer, a 20% discount for a one-off digital purchase of:
- enrolment plus (study text, exam entry and additional revision aids) or;
- enrolment (study text and exam entry) or;
- coursework/mixed assessment (includes study text)
If this is your current situation and you would like to apply for the 20% discount, please contact email@example.com detailing your personal circumstances. The team will then provide the required information and guidance on how to redeem your voucher.
This offer will remain in place until the end of the current UK Government furloughing scheme on 30 October when the CII will review the scheme.
Please check our FAQs page for more information.
Furthermore, those who are facing financial hardship due to furlough, redundancy or business collapse, unemployment, or those are still working but concerned for their future as a result of COVID-19 may be eligible for additional financial assistance for the full costs of training courses or professional qualifications under a scheme funded by the CII’s Education and Training Trust (EATT) and administered by the Insurance Charities.
The EATT learning fund is available to anyone working in the insurance or financial planning sector who meets the eligibility criteria. The awards can be used towards the cost of any relevant training courses or professional qualifications, not just CII training and qualifications.
Further details of the EATT learning fund is available at the Insurance Charities website.
Additionally, beyond training and qualifications, the Insurance Charities can provide further support and practical guidance for current and former insurance employees and their dependents who are experiencing general financial hardship and/or difficult life events. Further information is available on the Insurance Charities help and support page.
