Remote Invigilation guidance and support for Corporate IT teams

This page is intended for employers or those responsible for the corporate IT support for those taking exams by remote invigilation.

We are strongly advising candidates not to use computers or laptops provided by their employer as these typically include security protocols that conflict with any remote invigilation software.

We are also strongly advising against taking exams using a corporate Wi-Fi or any other internet connection that may include firewalls that they cannot personally control.

This guidance is in common with practice employed by many leading exam providers, following feedback that indicates the majority of technical problems experienced by candidates would have been avoided by using a personal laptop.

What to do if your employees do not have a personal laptop?

We realise that not everyone owns a laptop other than one provided by their employer.
