Shaping the future of insurance: Delivering resilience within the insurance community took place Thursday 21 September in London. The conference aimed to bring a holistic view to how insurance professionals think about resilience.
The Chartered Insurance Institute’s President Russell Higginbotham set the scene and explained why resilience is fundamental within the insurance profession.
Further sessions explored both ESG and the impact of flooding and other natural disasters, before Russell led a panel discussion which explored how to build partnerships for community resilience.
The afternoon opened with a soft skills session before closing with a fascinating insight into the impact on the mental health of claims handlers who deal with distressing calls which may lead to second-hand trauma.
