CII CPD event accreditation

CPD accredited events are conferences or seminars which are delivered by experts. These are not related to specific qualifications and do not normally include a formal assessment of the learning.

CPD event accreditation helps you demonstrate the importance of your event to the development of technical knowledge and competence. It is a formal quality kite-mark and evidence of achieving a set standard. The accreditation can be awarded where a review finds that the event's content is related to insurance or financial services and of a sufficiently high standard to contribute to CII members' CPD. Events must be free of product bias.

CII accreditation is not a requirement for participants to claim CPD hours under the CII CPD scheme However, it does provide formal recognition, valuable external benchmarking, tangible business benefits and allows providers to advertise their event as attracting CII CPD hours for attendees.

Benefits of CII CPD event accreditation

CPD event accreditation will:

  • Allow you to use the 'CII accredited event' logo for event branding and literature
  • Assist in demonstrating the value of attending your event to potential delegates
  • Add gravitas from formal endorsement of the event by the CII

On achievement of CPD event accreditation we will provide you with:

  • The option of adding the event details to the CII website
  • Use of the CII formal accreditation endorsement wording: 'This event has been accredited by the CII and can be included as part of your CII/Personal Finance Society CPD requirement should you consider it relevant to your professional development needs'.

If you are not looking for formal recognition of the event's quality but would like to know whether the event entitles delegates to claim CII/Personal Finance Society CPD hours read more about the CII CPD scheme
