CII Group Financial Capability

Money’s too tight to mention: will the IPOD generation ever trust financial services?

The CII Group has published in association with the think tank Reform a major research project examining the financial issues
and habits of adults aged 18-34. With limited savings, high debts and low levels of financial capability, this group is known as the
IPOD generation (Insecure, Pressurised, Over-taxed and Debt-ridden), and could be at the highest risk in any upcoming
economic downturn.

The CII Group has published a research report examining the public’s views on financial capability against the backdrop of the on going credit crunch. The findings provide a valuable insight into public attitudes towards financial security, financial advice and confidence in the banking system.

Skills Survey

The CII Group published the findings of its second annual membership skills survey. The findings showed an increase on the 2007 figures of employers reporting technical skills shortages and also an increase in those believing in the improtance of professional qualifications.
