The Broker Academy’s regional training programme delivers a mix of technical and business courses at accessible venues across the UK.

Conceived and developed following extensive consultation with brokers, the face-to-face format ensures a stimulating and rewarding learning environment to sharpen broking skills and enhance career potential.

This initiative brings training to the regions at affordable prices, cementing the Broker Academy philosophy of supporting the entire UK broking community. Courses are delivered by our appointed training provider Searchlight Insurance Training.

New – subsidised management training programme

The Broker Academy is offering a Management Development programme designed specifically for insurance brokers – and you can get up to £1,000 of Government funding to help meet the fee.

This exclusive course can attract a substantial subsidy from the Government’s flagship Train to Gain initiative, which means you or a member of your staff can attend at a fraction of the usual cost.

This exciting addition to CII Broker Academy’s regional face-to-face training portfolio is delivered by leading market practitioners who share first-hand experience of the issues facing brokers today.

Developing tomorrow’s leaders

The programme specifically caters for mid-senior managers, directors and owners who have, or aspire to, strategic management responsibility within their firm. Coverage of core responsibilities needed by senior broking staff will help you develop the key competencies required to succeed in today’s competitive environment:

Cost	£1,500 for all five days £325 per individual day
Funding	Up to £1,000 available (brokers outside of London and Manchester can attend the course and self fund or seek funding from their local Train to Gain centre).

Each delegate is urged to attend the full programme, but where work schedules make this impossible, the option exists to book on single or multiple days (funding contributions may still be available for brokers not attending the programme in full).

The full programme is priced at a highly competitive price of £1500. But with Government funding in place, applicants can attend the full course for as little as £500!

Funding and eligibility

London, Manchester and the Yorkshire/Humber regions have been approved to receive Train to Gain funding.

• Qualifying firms can receive Train to Gain government funding worth up to £1,000 to use towards the programme
• Application for funding is made through your local Train to Gain centre
• The process is straightforward and we can help you complete your application. Decisions are usually made within two weeks.

The key eligibility criteria for funding include:

• Available to broking firms only
• Firms must have a workforce of between 5 and 250 staff
• The course delegates must be a director, owner or manager
• Funding can only be granted to a maximum of one employee per firm

Please note that entry to the course is not limited to those receiving funding, but is open to all brokers.
