The CII has over 13,000 members outside the UK, in over 150 countries. Here we give an overview of the insurance market in the countries with the highest number of members. The data in this section has been provided by Axco Insurance Information Services.
Non-life business
The countries chosen are the 50 with the highest number of CII members as at July 2007, excluding the Channel Islands, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Macau, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland – which would figure in our top 50 but for which it has not been possible to obtain comparable figures.
For each country we give, in so far as this information is available, a ranking of the top insurance companies by premium income and key indicators for the market as a whole.
