About the Knowledge Gateway
Our Knowledge Gateway provides easy access to a wide range of published
material on insurance, risk and related financial services, whether
online or printed, on this site or elsewhere. It incorporates the CII library catalogue as well as details of periodical articles, websites and online documents.

Online
resources
The Knowledge Gateway includes references to selected websites, PDFs and
other online documents. Web versions of printed items are also recorded.
Websites are selected for the database if they are useful sources
of free technical or market information or they are the sites of
UK-based or international organisations. All sites recorded
also appear in the browsable Global
web directory, which includes additional entries for a large
number of organisations.
Periodical
articles, conference papers etc
The Knowledge Gateway contains detailed references to thousands of periodical articles,
conference papers etc. The earliest articles on the database date from the
1890s but most articles date from 1993 to the present.
Some articles are available in full text on this site, some on other sites. In addition, photocopies
can be ordered of most articles.
Separate publications
The Knowledge Gateway includes
detailed records for all books, pamphlets and other materials in
the collection of the CII library. Click here
for coverage. Many items are available for loan by members, some can be purchased by members at a discount and there are links to online versions where these exist. Look out for document delivery links at the end of individual
records.
