Retired members' scheme

All members who have or are planning to retire from active business life in the financial services industry may apply to join the retired members’ scheme.

The Chartered Insurance Institute recognises that upon retirement members of our organisation often resign or allow their membership to lapse which means the CII loses the benefit and experience of having people who are retired as members.

The scheme aims to encourage long term continued involvement of our retired members by offering membership for a reduced annual fee of just £40. And in recognition of long service, for those with 20 years or more continuous membership*, an annual fee of just £20. Under the scheme you retain all the benefits of full CII membership. This fee is payable at your normal renewal date.
