Local and Global

Local institutes

Every CII member in the UK is also a member of a local institute. There are currently 61 local institutes across the UK, plus 7 associated institutes in the Republic of Ireland.

If you become a member of the CII in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, you also join a local institute. The network of local institutes offers a useful contact point, education advice, CPD seminars and social events.

Global network

There are 71 affiliated institutes internationally, a figure that is added to all the time. The CII has members from around the globe – from Bermuda to Bahrain and South Africa to Singapore.

Qualifications offered by the CII are recognised and valued throughout the world and serve as a benchmark of knowledge, application and commitment. Underpinning these qualifications and aimed at the international insurance community are a range of CII services, including training courses hosted in London.

The development of ed., the CII's online learning facility, is also of significant interest to students and members alike as it can be accessed via the internet from any location, at any time.
