Vacancy for Chairman of The CII Qualifications, Examinations and Assessment Committee (QEAC)
The CII is in the process of replacing the Examiners’ Committee with the Qualifications, Examinations and Assessment Committee to bring it in to line with QCA requirements and is looking for a member of the CII/PFS to chair the Committee.

The new Committee is responsible for ensuring that CII candidates are treated fairly through the application of all its qualifications, examinations and assessments processes. This will ensure that the CII maintains its professional standards and integrity and operates in line with the quality criteria of the appropriate regulatory authorities.
In line with the Terms of Reference for the Committee, the Chairman will need to be either a general insurance practitioner or a financial services practitioner and will require the following attributes:
- Membership of the CII which can include PFS
- Integrity
- Commitment to quality
- Impartiality
- understanding of the educational arena
Meetings will take place up to three times a year and the Chairman will also be required to have other meetings with relevant CII staff to discuss issues as and when they arise. The first meeting will be on 30 April 2008.
All travelling expenses will be reimbursed but applicants should be advised that no payment will be provided for the role.
