Accreditation criteria

Please find below the Accreditation of Prior Learning criteria for your reference.

• Prior Learning Accreditation can be awarded for course content which ‘matches’ 80% of a CII examination syllabus. Full details of CII syllabuses can be found on our website at www.cii.co.uk.
• Accreditation of of Prior Learning is only awarded for full qualifications awarded by recognised academic institutions or other professional bodies.
• The assessment must be of comparable standard to CII assessments with a minimum of 70% match to the CII assessment process (Modules which are purely assessed by course work will not be eligible for exemption from a CII unit)
• The Accreditation criteria must be fully met in order for any award to be made. We would therefore be grateful if you could review this carefully to ensure you provide the required information to proceed with this application.
• Please note, Accreditation is awarded at the descretion of the CII examiners committe. Awards are made based on the examination framework in place at the time of application.
