Record number of advisers achieve Chartered status »
The Personal Finance Society has confirmed a further significant
rise in the number of financial planners achieving Chartered status
- up from 3,500 to 4,000 in the last 12 months.
That means a record 12 per cent of its 34,000 members have now
reached the milestone, which was launched in 2005.

The Personal Finance Society has established a Consumer Insight
Panel intended to inform, influence and support the society with
its work to improve consumer confidence and trust in financial
The panel, which met for the first time in London in January,
will advise and support the Personal Finance Society in its work to
develop and deliver clear and balanced information, and effective
public education. This will help to assist an increasing number of
consumers to make better informed decisions about their financial
needs, leading to better consumer outcomes.The initiative
ultimately seeks to improve consumer confidence and trust in the
financial planning profession.
