This course includes the provision of a study text designed to support study towards a thorough understanding of the exam syllabus, together with the facility to complete a series of assignments which are marked by an expert tutor and count towards the final exam mark.

The study text breaks down the syllabus into concise sections, with each chapter containing clearly defined learning objectives and a series of self-test questions. It also includes a detailed exam syllabus outlining the subject areas that may be tested in the exam and updates for 12 months after enrolment.

Assignments for this unit are completed, submitted and marked online. The tutor will give feedback on your assignments, helping you gauge your progress. Candidates meeting the qualifying requirements will have a fixed increase of 10% of the total marks available on the exam paper applied to their exam result. Additionally you will gain access to an unrivalled suite of online services to support your studies through our 'RevisionMate' study tool. These will include a study planner, access to an online searchable reference copy of your study text, end of chapter questions from the study text in an online format so you can record your answers and review them in later stages of your revision and mock exams. As the coursebook is a valuable reference tool in your day-to-day job, we offer an option to receive the next edition of the study text together with electronic updates. This option is renewable on an annual basis and you will be sent a letter inviting you to update your material.

If you wish to upgrade to continuous assessment, you can do so within the first 12 months of your enrolment (outside of this period you will firstly need to purchase the 'coursebook update service beyond year one'). Upgrades allow a full 12 months of enrolment from the date of application.
