Future Factory
Thinking for tomorrow
In association with:
The first debate and forum on Future Factory goes live in July. For 10 days only members will be able to hear, view and join this debate by commenting on points raised. Your comments and viewpoints will be consolidated into an industry white paper that will be published on the website and accessible to all members.
In association with IBM the Future Factory delivers exciting new online capability that is scheduled for launch at the end of May. As part of our effort to facilitate greater member access, interaction and collaboration CII and IBM have worked together to deliver a pilot scenario.
How will it work?
Following debate around a topical issue, kicked off by key industry leaders, the filmed event can be found online at www.cii.co.uk/futurefactory which is essentially:
- A viewing channel - open to all - featuring audio and video access to topical industry debates…
- While offering exclusive access for CII members to an online discussion forum, enabling them to not only hear and see but also contribute to the process of debate that will culminate into an industry white paper.
The first topic for discussion follows the latest GI Leaders Roundtable Debate which took place on Tuesday 13 May,
asking key industry leaders: “Is the system Sick or Bust?”
Hosted by BBC Radio 2 and Panorama presenter Jeremy Vine, the filmed debate focused on the changing business dynamics of the 21st century and whether this will dismantle the traditional cost models and value chain
of the GI market. Asking the questions: How should the UK insurance industry respond? And what are their choices?
Round the table from the industry:
- Neil Clutterbuck, Director, Allianz
- Theo Duchen, Chief Executive Officer, Acturis
- Peter Knowles, Head of Business Development - General Insurance, CII
- Clive Nathan, Chief Executive Officer, Towergate
- Mark Radburn, MD, Willis UK & Ireland Ltd
- David Williams, Claims Director, AXA
- Lynn Richards-Cole, Associate Director, Perkins Slade
