Making Chartered work for you: communicating your status

Your firm has worked hard to achieve Chartered status. Now it’s time to make it work hard for you.

There are many ways that you can communicate your status to make sure you get the most out of it. Staff, customers, other professional firms, the people in your area: making sure you let them know about your Chartered status will improve your standing in the eyes of your customers and business partners.

To support Chartered firms in communicating their newly acquired status the CII has developing a suite of communications to help you do the following:

  • Inform your staff
  • Tell prospective employees
  • Notify existing customers
  • Be accessible to new customers by making sure your firm’s listing is complete and up to date on the CII’s online directory of Chartered firms
  • Advertise your success by making sure you reference your Chartered status on all communications
  • Raise your profile through PR
  • Badge your premises
  • Create a Chartered community of fellow Chartered firms in your area
  • Reinforce your credentials by using the Chartered marque on all your company marketing materials

As well as guidance notes and the facility to update your entry on our directory, you’ll also find below a range of draft communications. These can be used or adapted by firms to communicate to their stakeholders. Further guidance will be added in the future, as appropriate.
