When delegates gathered in Manchester for the annual BIBA
conference, the Faculty of Insurance Broking was there.
Debates centred on the conference theme that it was time to get
back to business after the regulatory rigours of the past two
years. At a time when there is much talk of the softening rates and
the management of the peaks and troughs of the insurance cycle,
brokers were being told that it was time to put the customer back
at the top of their list of priorities ...

The new regulatory environment undoubtedly presents very
particular, but sometimes poorly understood, risks to both
individuals and firms which require careful consideration, reports
Ernst & Young's Serena Joseph and Tom Townson. Dealing with
