Faculties Event in Scotland
The Claims Faculty in conjunction with The Insurance Society of Perth & Dundee will be continuing their 2008/09 event programme with an interesting and engaging insight into flood and its effect on the insurance market and the wider community.
The event – a panel discussion – will identify where the insurance industry can help, or be helped, in minimising the risk of damage from flooding.

The Evolution of Claims

The Claims Faculty has published an extensive research report on The Evolution of Claims. Reflecting the views of over 520 Claims Faculty members, CEOs, MDs and opinion formers the research gives a comprehensive view of the key role that claims plays in today's insurance marketplace. It also highlights the importance of skilled claims practitioners to the success of any claims operation.

- Supporting senior and Chartered status professionals at the levels of ACII, FCII, ACILA & FCILA
- Providing an extensive range of examination subjects that will help develop and demonstrate your knowledge, understanding and application of claims.
- Helping you to demonstrate to your employer commitment to maintaining and enhancing your competence.
Technical information
The technical information web page gives you access to a wide variety of tailored information aimed specifically at the Faculty of Claims professional.
The Faculty focuses on three core areas:
- The provision of appropriate examinations, assessments and qualifications for the various roles undertaken in the claims environment.
- Maintaining and enhancing competence. As a member of the Faculty you have access to information, training events and support, ensuring that you are up to date on claims information, changes in market practice and new thinking.
- Raising standards and levels of professionalism across the claims community through guidance, codes of conduct and ethics together with the general promotion of best practice.
