President's message »
The President's speech was as follows:
My first pleasant duty is to offer the warmest of warm welcomes
to you, our guests.
I am so very pleased to see you all. I am really looking forward
to meeting and talking with you afterwards. Rather less
formally.
I'd like to mention early on in my address to you how very
honoured and delighted I am to have Henri de Castries here
tonight. He has come from Paris to join us and I'm sure you
all well know, he is one of the most successful and clear-sighted
insurance leaders of our generation, and I am very much
looking forward to hearing what he will be saying to us later
on.

chairman of the Claims Faculty board of the Chartered Insurance
Institute (CII).
