We work together to create a culture that is inclusive and aims to make the best use of the varied talents of everyone in the organisation. We do this informally but also through formal, staff-led steering groups such as our Information Consultation Forum who meet with senior management 4-5 times per year in a-two way exchange to share ideas, feedback and information. Through our active Social Committee which helps to develop the sense of teamwork that we believe is important in ensuring our continued success, and through our Diversity and Inclusion Committee who inform our work internally in this important area.

What is equality of opportunity?
Equality means 'the same as each other'. When we talk about equality of opportunity we mean that all employees and job applicants have the opportunity to realise their full potential.
What is diversity?
Diversity means a range of differences that will include, but not be limited to, sex, age, socio-economic background, race, disability, gender identity, personality, work style and ways of thinking, which when added together create a productive environment in which everybody feels valued, where their talents are being fully utilised and in which the CII's goals are met.
What is inclusion?
Inclusion is when everyone is included, irrespective of their differences
It is the policy of the CII to treat all employees and job applicants fairly and equally. We do not discriminate against staff on the basis of age, disability, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or gender reassignment (protected characteristics) or whether they are a part-time worker, fixed term employee or are a member of a trade union.

CII's head office is based in the City of London and is often referred to as the Aldermanbury building. Our Customer Service office is based in South Woodford.
