How do I book a course online?

2. Select your course
3. Check availability
4. Click the online booking link to add the course to your shopping
basket.
5. Proceed to the checkout (login to your CII online account if you
haven't already done so).

How do I book a course offline?

or fax to Customer Service. A separate form is required for each
delegate.
4. Three ways to pay
• Cheque: cheques, made payable to 'The Chartered Insurance
Institute', should be sent together with your booking form.
• Credit/debit card: If phoning through or faxing your booking,
payment must be by credit/debit card.
• Company invoice: For information on company invoicing
arrangements please contact Customer Service.
Note: Payment in full is required to secure a course
place and must be received before the course
commences.
5. Acknowledgement of booking
If your booking can be accommodated, acknowledgement will be
posted within 7 days. If course places are not available as
requested, or we need to clarify any of the information on your
form, you will be contacted within 5 working days. Wherever
appropriate, information will be sent to you on alternative courses
if your first choice of course is full.
Note: It is advisable not to book any flights and/or
accommodation until your place on the course has been
confirmed.
6. Confirmation of booking
Approximately three weeks before the course is due to start you
will be sent a set of joining instructions. It is important that
you read these before the course as they include additional terms
and conditions, they also provide a map and directions on how to
get to the training centre.
What are the addresses of the training centres?
This information will be provided with your joining
instructions which are dispatched three weeks prior
to the start of the course.
What time do CII training courses start and finish?
Whole day courses start at 9.30am and finish at around
4.45pm. ½ day morning courses start at 9.30am and end at 12.30pm
(lunch is not included); ½ day afternoon courses start at 1.30pm
and finish at 4.30pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the course to
allow for registration.
What do I need to bring with me to a CII training course?
Delegates will need to bring a pen, calculator and their
coursebook. If you are attending a course with an examination on
the last day, you must bring with you a form of ID - for example a
current passport, driving licence or a company ID which must
contain both your signature and photograph.
What is the dress code for CII training courses?
We ask that delegates wear smart casual clothing to a
training course.
Do I need to have studied the coursebook before I attend an intensive training courses?
It is recommended that you read through the coursebook at
least once before you attend the course.
Do I need to have studied the coursebook before attending a revision course?
It is essential that you have studied the coursebook before
attending a revision day.
What is the difference between the 510 Stats and the 510 Non Stats revision courses?
The 510 stats covers just the statistics section of the 510
course book; the 510 non stats covers the rest of the course
book.
Is accommodation included within the training course price?
No - the price includes all handout material, refreshments
and lunch (other than half-day programmes). Coursebooks need to be
purchased separately.
Are lunch/tea/coffee/refreshments provided?
Yes, however lunch is not provided on half day
sessions.
