This section provides details of CII accreditation schemes for
individuals. This includes details on recognition of prior
learning, ISO 22222 certification and individual trainer
accreditation.
Recognition of prior learning allows individuals to claim
credits for relevant exams and qualifications obtained through
awarding bodies other than the CII, such as professional bodies or
universities.
By applying for recognition of prior learning for exams and
qualifications you can significantly reduce the time taken to
complete your CII qualification, as well as reducing any overlap or
duplication of previous study.
The British Standards Institute's (BSI's) ISO 22222
certification is an alternative to examination for individual
financial planners. ISO is an internationally recognised standard.
The ISO 22222 financial planner certification defines the personal
financial planning process and specifies ethical behaviour,
competencies and experience requirements for personal financial
planners.
We can take you through the process, and complete the necessary
reviews which allow you, if successful, to use the ISO 22222
kitemark.
An individual trainer can be accredited with the CII, providing
a quality 'kitemark' for those delivering technical courses in
insurance and / or financial planning.
CII trainer accreditation is aimed at trainers within a company
training team and individual trainers, for example, training
consultants.
