CPD accredited events are conferences or seminars which are
delivered by experts and open to the public. These are not related
to specific qualifications and do not normally include a formal
assessment of the learning.
CPD event accreditation helps you demonstrate the importance of
your event to the development of technical knowledge and
competence. It is a formal quality kite-mark and evidence of
achieving a set standard. The accreditation can be awarded where a
review finds that the event's content is related to insurance or
financial services and of a sufficiently high standard to
contribute to CII members' CPD. Events must be free of product
bias.
CII accreditation is not a requirement for participants to claim
CPD credits under the CII CPD
scheme. However, it does provide formal recognition, valuable
external benchmarking, tangible business benefits and allows
providers to advertise their event as attracting CII CPD credits
for attendees.

branding and literature
- Assist in demonstrating the value of attending your event to
potential delegates

CII
On achievement of CPD event accreditation we will provide you
with:

Most accredited training comes under the CPD accreditation
banner. Organisations that want accreditation for anything other
than an event, should refer to CPD accreditation

quality but would like to know whether the event entitles
participants to claim CII CPD credits read more about the CII CPD scheme

CPD event accreditation standards
You will need to be able to confirm that your event meets the
CII CPD Accreditation standards.
Quality assurance
Our quality assurance process requires that you provide a copy
of delegate feedback and copies of any documentation provided to
delegates. This can be provided after the event has taken
place.
Please note that we may occasionally send an assessor to an
event for which you will receive prior notification.
Types of accreditation
There are two types of accreditation available for your
events:
- Annual accreditation licence - this gives holders the
flexibility to apply accreditation to all the appropriate courses
they provide in a year - £1500
- Single event accreditation - £750
Registering Continuing Professional Development
Once the event has taken place, CII members who attended can
register their CPD credits online via the CPD
website.
